Fall 2009 Market Introductions:

NICHOLS & STONE DEBUTS A VARIETY OF NEW PRODUCTS, INCLUDING UPHOLSTERY

Nichols & Stone has been part of American furniture lore for more than 150 years. Now
part of the Stickley family of brands, Nichols & Stone continues to be independently
distributed across the United States and Canada. This fall’s introductions at the
International Home Furnishings Market are on display on the first floor of the Natale
Building at 400 English Road in High Point, North Carolina. Highlights include an
extensive assortment of youthful and stylish upholstery complemented by several varied
groups of occasional and entertainment pieces.

Nichols & Stone Upholstery has been engineered for exceptional comfort, clean tailoring
and simplicity of presentation. This 90-piece collection offers moderately priced sofas,
love seats, lounge chairs, sectionals and ottomans in looks ranging from lodge to
contemporary. An array of 85 fresh fabrics, 10 top-grain leathers, and skirt or nail trim
options on most frames provide ample opportunity for personalizing these pieces.

Working in handsome tandem with the new upholstery is a 35-piece assortment of new
Nichols & Stone occasional pieces under the Departures Collection name. Ready to
enhance any living room, family room, or great room, this eclectic mix of cocktail tables,
end tables, accent pieces and home entertainment components offe rs a number of mixand-
match possibilities. The entertainment pieces include a 60” wide console with either
slotted, sliding door panels that create an open grille effect, or a 64” console with frameand-
panel doors. These consoles may be flanked with narrower entertainment
piers/bookcases, available with open or concealed bottom storage. The Departures
Collection also features smaller-sized entertainment consoles in widths ranging from 48”
to 58”.

Nichols & Stone will also relaunch a variety of classic occasional pieces under the
Departures name. Highlights include an oval, three-tiered Saddlemaker’s Table,
exclusively licensed under the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, a versatile Bunching
Cabinet base and top with removable wine racks, a distinctive leather and exposed wood
Commander’s Chair with Footstool, and several accent tables, including a Flip-Top Game
Table.

The Freedom Collection, introduced by Nichols & Stone last spring, is adding the saberlegged
Lenox Gathering Table in counter and bar heights of 36” and 42” that opens to
58” with one 16” leaf, and two Dover Pedestal Bistro tables in 36” and 42” heights and
with one-piece 42” diameter tops. Nichols & Stone is enhanced by the addition of two
new pedestal dining tables: the 38” diameter Barrington model opens to 50” with a 12”
self-storing butterfly leaf, and the 44” diameter Stockbridge model opens to 60” with a
16” self-storing butterfly leaf.
